ILSI SOUTH AFRICA REGRETS TO ANNOUCE THE POSPONEMENT OF THE PDIS SYMPOSIUM

Due to the increase in Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in South Africa over the last few days and the announcement made by the President last night, ILSI South Africa has decided to postpone the PDIS Symposium which was scheduled to take place on Thursday, 19 March 2020.

We will communicate the new date for the symposium in due course.

SOUTH AFRICAN RESEARCHER AWARDED MIST GRANT TO ATTEND THE 2020 ILSI SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM

Dr Martani Lombard attended the 2020 ILSI Annual meeting & Science symposium held in Costa Rica 17-21 January 2020. Dr Lombard was one of 6 recipients of the Malaspina International Scholars Travel grant to attend the meeting and present about her research. She is a senior lecturer at North West University. Her research focuses on multi-mycotoxin risk assessment in association with infant and young child (IYC) growth, IYC nutrition, rural food security and food safety.
